Autism awareness day is observed across the world. Parents with Autism are most active group of parents and they advocate for their children. Apps are most suitable for special needs, and especially for children with autism as they truly help them learn using alternative means. Most of the children with autism are already into expensive technology in the form of visual schedules/AAC. iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad Applications make learning affordable and reach more children that otherwise would not have been reached. Apps are more appealing to parents, educators, and children. With this in mind ‘Appy Apps for autism’ event on ‘World Autism Awareness Day’ was organized.
