Clinton Elementary School , New Jersey,  provided an extensive list of educational applications (most of which are free). Three of @Reks spelling apps were listed:

The topic for the general PTA meeting  was Technology in the Classroom. Teachers from several grades as well as PE and the Library spoke to the attendees about how they use technology to support learning at Clinton. Keli Tianga, PTA president, started the meeting by sharing with the group that the PTA has been able to assist with the purchase of iPads, iPods, Listening Centers, Smartboards and other technology in the school. Extensive research is completed before purchases are made to ensure that the PTA money is spent wisely in ways that impact instruction for all students. These resources are being put to good use each day.
